casting and molding update

check journals/LJ for special offers

I thought I'd quickly drop you an update. I am at the moment still in the process of molding and I havent demolded yet. If it all works fine however I will have good molds of:
Orakeiros (dragon)
Baby Orakeiros (little dragon)
Winged Werewolf
Fox Woman
Owl Griffin
Kirin
Winged Lion
and the sitting Griffin chick (actually planned to retire)
the curl kittens
the tiger warrior

(check my gallery, you will find the masters/prototypes in there)

I will most likely do a few color variations each:
Orakeiros (redgold and bluegold)
Baby Orakeiros (dont know yet)
Winged Werewolf (white and wolfcolored or black)
Fox Woman (only fox color. May alter one to a wolf)
Owl Griffin (snow owl, barn owl and great horned owl)
Kirin (dont know yet)
Winged Lion ( barary lion and maybe a white one)
the curl kittens (snowleopard, tiger, puma)
the tiger warrior (white and orange tiger, maybe golden)

The griffin chicks I will be selling as blanks.
I will make order forms for all of these, IF it works, if if if. It does look good however.

Then, and that may be of interest to many of you, I WILL BE SELLING BLANK SCULPTURES FOR YOU TO COLOR. All named 10 casts above can be ordered uncolored.
I'd like to add, (because I had a case of someone asking) that uncolored does not mean 50% cheaper than the colored price. Please note that most of the cost of these figures goes on the TIME (sculpting, molding, casting, demolding)and the MATERIAL (silicone, polymer, casting plaster) . This means the blank cast costs about 30% less than the full colored one. (and not 75% less like in flat artwork). I am currently waiting for the first casts to be made (may be tuesday or the next week) so I can start fetching boxes for each cast, makes shipping and storing easyer. But I will keep you all updated.
I have no prices yet, so please dont ask.

I PLAN TO BRING A BATCH OF THESE TO EUROFURENCE. If you wish to purchase one there, contact me in time. I cannot have many of these at once, they are clutzy and heavy.

Future casting plans:
I still have the possibility to cast again in fall, I may pick up some of the ideas I had in the poll. I also have to tell you, I do know you all seem to be wanting the nightmare. It is possible that I wont be able to do her. Her main problem are her horse leggs. I dont feel like pasting silly amounts of hair and tail there to guarantee her standing. And a sitting nightmare is only half the thrill. I would like to put something human (specifically face-human) into the next cast, but I will still be thinking that over. I might make it a mermaid, I dont know yet.

I envy people who can draw noses.
I love your sculptures; they're awesome! I was just wondering how you attach the feathers? Before curing, after curing with glue, etc.?

THAT'S JUST AMAZING THAT YOU SCULPT YOUR OWN STUFF AND THEN DRAW IT....
I WISH I COULD DRAW AS GOOD AS YOU......

UM DO YOU ONLY DO FANTASY STUFF?
Could you tell the process you use to make most of your models or sent me a place that I can check out how the process it done I make model out of clay and Im new at it but I learning
I learned most by trying and rehearsing. Also drawing a lot. I have an old tutorial from 2004 here: [link] it describes roughly the procedure I use.
Wow! Thanks for the watch! :D
