Artist's Comments

one of the closeup big photos of my sold "Babe".
I'm redoing my portfolio and realized that I never posted a nice and big clean pic of one of my bigger works.
Babe was fully done in polymer, no reference, no molds. every scale handsculpted.
He is in a REAL ostrich egg which is a REAL hatchlet egg. This means, there was an ostrich in that egg.
"Babe" was sold to USA.
"Babe2" is in plan, a "babe 1.5" was made without the shell and is for sale here [link]
size: 5 x 5 x 8.5 inches (roughly)

edit: HUGE THANKYOU FOR THE DD! this piece is soon 1.5 years old, to see recent work please check my gallery :) THANKYOU!
THANK YOU FOR ALL COMMENTS!

adorb ^^ love the detailing on this, and the fact you used a hatchlings egg is a great touch ;)

All one needs Is a spork, a pinch of salt and a very vivid imagination to produce a perfect torture....

Thisi s just gorgeous! it's hard to tell without seeing the hind feet but is shit a Dromeosaur of some sort or something like an Allosaur? Great work, as always, simply gorgeous. I REALLY like it.
:iconakeyla:
he actually started out as a dragon, a dragon with a slightly t-rex head. But lateron I skipped the addition of wings and horns, since he just fitted more perfect into the egg that way and they were both in a better "harmony".
So, he is neither nor. I'd say, an allosaur, velociraptor trex halfbreed.
thanks!

Wow, another beautiful sculpt! I love the details you put into your work; it's very inspiring. :) Out of curiosity, where did you find an ostrich egg shell?
:iconmissmonster:
I think I have said this before...but he is SO cute and really really well done! This picture is great too...I can drool over his little face scales! AWWWW!

That looks amazing! i thought it was something from the jurassic park movies! Well done, and im curious as to how long it took you to complete considering the amazing detail.
How hard is polymer to shape?

Keep up the great work and i cant wait to see the next one!

I LOVE him... if you ever do a baby raptor at play. I'd be very VERY interested at buying!
:iconpinguinadearte:
